| I WAS OUT NEAR TAFT, CA IN THE OIL FIELDS THIS WEEK AND WAS THINKING OF MIKE. LAST TIME I TALKED WITH MIKE WAS AT THE 10 YR REUNION. I WAS REPAIRING A PRODUCTION RIG AS THE SUN WAS SETTING. WE TOOK A BREAK JUST BEFORE THE SUN SET TO REST FOR 10 MINUTES. LOOKING OUT ACROSS THE VALLEY FROM THE HILL I WAS ON AND FOR THE DESERT ON THIS DAY IT WAS A PRETTY NICE SUNSET. MIKE IS NOT WITH US PHYSICALLY BUT WILL BE REMEMBERED IN OUR HEARTS FOREVER. GOD BLESS MIKE, HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS YOUR FRIEND, DAVID BRYANT |

| There is so much to say about Mike... This is a great idea, a good way to share thoughts about him. A way that encourages easy repeat visits to add comments, from time as they come, which is how my thoughts about Mike occur. A little about one aspect one day, something else a few days later. I'm in Belize, working on an oil exploration project, a job that Mike specifically wanted to participate in (he definitely had the travel bug). I wish he could be here. We discovered oil, a big and surprising find, one of the very best I have been a part of during my 28 year career in geology. It's the thrill of discovery: finding buried treasure. Now we are drilling the third well, and it is a good one too, we just drilled the "pay zone" today. Here is a link to a news story about it: http://new.channel5belize.com/archive_detail_story.php?story_id=15474 It is a very big deal in the little country of Belize. Mike is a part of it because I will never forget he wanted to be here, looking forward, exploring, digging for buried treasure. Doug Milham, Horizon Well Logging |
